Am Donnerstag, den 10. Mai findet um 19 Uhr im Wolkensteinsaal im Kulturzentrum am Münster in Konstanz die Veranstaltung “Kollaboration im Netz – Zwischen Social Media & Protest” statt. Klingt spannend und interessant.
Aus der Ankündigung:
The transformative power of social media and Web 2.0 is one of the central topoi of the beginning of the 21st century. But only recently have we seen the diversity of social processes associated with these new media and technologies, from Facebook’s (and others’) corporate re-appropriation and fencing-in of the Internet to the creative use of the same technologies to help topple oppressive regimes in North Africa.
To better understand the opportunities and contradictions offered by the new collaborative technologies, Philippe Aigrain, co-founder of «La Quadrature du Net», computer programmer, and former head of sector «Software Technologies» in the European Commission, will present his theses on the economy of sharing and talk about the current debate about intellectual property. (Information on his latest book here)
His talk will be complemented by short interventions from Sebastian Haunss, Christiane Heibach, and Mirko Tobias Schäfer.
